Welcome to AEA

The Alliance for Education Awareness, Inc. (A.E.A.) was established as a 501c(3) non profit organization in May of 1997 by several New York University students seeking to empower New York city under-served, high school age urban youth through education.

A.E.A. targets youth in the underdeveloped neighborhoods where poverty, poor facilities and limited political representation are constant obstacles to success. 

A.E.A. Programs and Service 

A.E.A. provides programming in the following areas:

• Academic assistance – teaching strategies designed to support academic achievement and promote multi-cultural and entrepreneurial activity.

• Career guidance – career focused guidance that is reflective of the individual’s talent, vision and potential.

• Peer mentoring – one-on-one counseling and mentoring which helps to foster ambition, provide access and provide positive role models.
